John and John have contacts in the UK with two summer schools where students go to stay with host famílies and study English.
For the younger Student we send them to Shrewsbury in the West of England where they will be closely looked after and supervised. Shrewsbury is a town similar to Girona in size and history and is ideal for the teenaged Student away from home for the first time. There is an option for a parent to go with the studentand stay in Shrewsbury.
For the older Student we send them to International School in Newcastle on Tyne a bigger city where they have more freedom and more things to do for the inquiring mind looking for new experiences. Here students stay with their host famílies and socialise with their classmates after school. Newcastle is a big city and there are many things to see and do, with Edinburgh a short train ride away. It is truly an education in more than language.
We have contact with English Summer based in Girona that runs courses for children here in Catalunya. The children do not have to travel outside the country and are in camps where they have total immersion in English. Not exactly 100% British but the next best thing for the Young Student who is not ready to travel abroad just yet.
Well looked after and supervised, but also with lots of English.
